Jesse Glazier Coates

Jesse Glazier Coates, 53, of Cantonment, Florida, passed away on December 13, 2025.
Jesse had a good heart. He was strong and tough, with a great sense of humor that those who knew him will never forget. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting in the garage with his pops, enjoying the comfort of being together. Jesse loved being around others - content to sit, listen, and take in all the stories and conversations around him.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Barbara "Queenie" Coates.
Jesse is survived by his daddy, Larry Coates; his brothers, Jay Coates (Cheryl), Andy Coates (Ginny), and Donnie Coates (Pamela); and his sister, Kellie Everett (Terry Jr.). He is also survived by his children, Justin Johnson (Haley), Ashton Coates, Kaitlin Boyd, Shelbie Coates, Sidney Shelby, JJ Coates; his grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
Jesse will always be remembered for his resilience, strength, and big heart. He found comfort in the simple things - good company, a cold crisp Coke, a Little Debbie snack cake and good music. Although he will be deeply missed, Jesse will live on forever in our hearts and memories.
Pallbearers will be Justin Johnson, Garrett Coates, Christian Coates, Gage Coates, Jay Coates, Hunter Everett, Jayson Godwin, and Bryan Young.
A service honoring Jesse's life will be held on December 23, 2025, at Faith Chapel North, Cantonment, Florida. Family visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by friends and guests from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, Pensacola, Florida.
