Jesse Cotherman
(September 18, 1958 - February 17, 2024)
Age 65
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jesse Cotherman, a kind man with a big heart and even bigger smile.
Jesse was born September 18, 1958, in Panama City, Florida to Shirley and Charles Cotherman. He grew up in Pendleton, Indiana with his brother Jon. He excelled academically which led him to get his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from GMI, followed by a masters in material science from Northwestern.
Jesse was a first-class mind. He worked as a mechanical engineer for a notable time. In his free time, he enjoyed a wide variety of activities that challenged him both physically and mentally. One notable achievement was in taekwondo where he became a second-degree black belt, eventually becoming an instructor himself.
Jesse was a loving husband to his wife of 34 years, Michelle, and a devoted father to his three children Brandt, Taylor, and Natalie. He loved spending time with his family from weekends spent boating to Friday night blockbuster runs and ordering pizza. He could always be found in the garage tinkering away, a true handyman that took care of his family.
Jesse will be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family, as well as a kind man with a smile to light up a room. He was a driven man that never spouted a word of complaint no matter the trials that were thrown his way. He took every difficulty in stride, letting God lead him through life and any challenge it presented. He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity and perseverance.
Jesse will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and touched throughout his life. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace with our Heavenly Father and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.
