Jesse Daniel Davis, age 39, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on March 7, 2026.
Jesse was born on July 19, 1986, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Mark Davis and Nancy Swanson. He grew up in the Williamsburg, Iowa area. At the age of 17, Jesse joined the Iowa National Guard, and soon after enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country, completing tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Following his time in the military, Jesse returned to civilian life and worked a variety of jobs over the years. He had a strong desire to serve others and was passionate about giving back to his community. Jesse was an active member of West Gate-Adelphic Lodge #509 in Windsor Heights, where he worked alongside fellow members to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Jesse will be remembered for his dedication to service, his commitment to helping those around him, and the love he had for his family.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Swanson; his son, Sawyer; and his brother, Chris Swanson (Mandi).
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Mark Davis.
