Jesse Jarrell Obituary

JARRELL, Jesse Warfield Jr., 82, of Stanardsville, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Jesse was born March 28, 1928 in Madison, Va., son of the late Jesse W. Jarrell Sr. and Ina Elizabeth Jarrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Snow Jarrell; two brothers, Hollis Jarrell and Charles Jarrell; one sister, Peggy Collins. Jesse is survived by his two daughters, Jacquelyn Jarrell of Charlottesville, Va., and Brenda Jo Aylor and her husband, Delmer, of Chase City, Va.; one son, Ronald "Ronnie" Jarrell and his wife, Nona, of Ruckersville, Va.; one sister, Marjorie Campanella of Philadelphia, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Jenkins; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Jesse was a charter member of the Stanardsville Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of Shiloh Church of the Brethren. In accordance with his wishes, Jesse was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Ryan Funeral Home, with Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating. Interment will follow at Stanardsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the Ryan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stanardsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 165, Stanardsville, Va. 22973. Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
