Jesse W. Maples, II-age 69 of Maynardville was called home by the Lord on Tuesday morning March 21,2023 at his home. He was saved at 8 years old at Gayland Heights Baptist Church. He was a member of Ailordale Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Coca-Cola Consolidated, formerly Roddy Manufacturing with 30 plus years of service.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Lou (Wynn) Maples; parents, Jesse W. Maples and Mildred (Hilton) Maples; mother-in-law, Vina Jane (Gross) Wynn; father-in-laws, Burl Wynn and Ben Swaggerty; sister, Nancy Carol (Maples) Lawrence, Patsy (Maples) Lang; nephew, Richard Wayne Maples; brother-in-law's, Roy Rutter, Ronnie Lawrence, Benny Wynn, Billy "Red" Wynn, Wayne Crider, Robert Lang, Lester Chrzanowski, Green Blevins and Boyd DeVault; sister-in-laws, Sue (Wynn) Blevins DeVault, Judy (Weaver) Wynn, Dale (Munsey) Wynn and Debra Lynn Swaggerty.
Survivors: wife, Sandra (Swaggerty) Maples; daughter and son-in-law, Charity D (Maples) and Roger Douglas Jackson; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher S. and Melanie (Kitts) Maples; granddaughters, Alexia Jackson, Haley (Jackson) and Jarrett Sparkman; grandsons, Seth Jackson and Chase Maples; step-granddaughter's, Aleyia and Makenna Satterfield, Henley Brown, Grace Carey, Ava Branch, Alora Branch; step-grandsons, Teyland Brown and Ezekiel Carey; step-children, Melissa (Brown) and Ryan Carey, Wesley and Ashley (Branch) Brown, Matthew Brown; great-granddaughter, Norah Jess Sparkman; sister, Mary (Maples) Rutter of Maynardville; brother, Jeff and Marjorie (Essmaker) Maples of Florida along with several in laws, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday, March 23, 2023, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with funeral service to follow at 7 PM Thursday, Rev. Adam Nicely and Rev. Ronnie Horner officiating. Interment 11 AM Friday, March 24, 2023, in Ailordale Church Cemetery, Maynardville. Family & friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 AM Friday to go in the procession. Pallbearers: Seth Jackson, Chase Maples, Wesley Brown, Ryan Carey, Robert Loy and Ronnie Wynn. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
