Jesse J. McAdoo III was born on December 19, 1958 to the late Jesse J. McAdoo Jr. and Mattie Christine Lyle McAdoo. Jesse was affectionately known by family and friends as Lil Jesse. Lil Jesse was one of eight children born to the union of Jesse and Mattie McAdoo. He sadly transitioned to his heavenly home on September 18, 2025.
Lil Jesse accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Walter E. Corder at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church at 19 Hart Street. Lil Jesse was educated in the Nashville Davidson County School System and a graduate of Cameron High School. Lil Jesse started working at Red Barn Chicken Corp. where he worked for many years moving up to management in which, he took great pride and loved it. Lil Jesse was a kind hearted person with a loving spirit.
Lil Jesse was proceeded in death by his parents, Jesse & Mattie McAdoo; siblings, James, Thelma, Leslie, Jackie, Janis and Michael, and bonus sister, Dorothy.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Darrcka Hammonds; beloved brother, Frederick McAdoo and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Please keep the McAdoo family in your thoughts and prayers.
