Jesse Paul McDaniel, Jr., 65, 206 Archie Dr. went home to be with his father in heaven.His memorial service will be Wednesday 11 AM at Life Christian Center International. Pastor Stan Glass officiating. Born in Mobile, AL, at the age of 7 Mr. McDaniel moved to Mitchell County and lived in Lee County for the past 30 years. He was retired from Merck Chemical Company where he served as chief steward of Local 609 of the International Chemical Workers Union for a time and was a past member of local IBEW. Mr. McDaniel served in the U. S Army in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles and also as a DI at Fort Benning. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved to hunt, fish and his church Life Christian Center International. He was a former member of Toast Masters.Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly McDaniel Schmeltzer and brothers, Charles E. McDaniel, Bob C. McDaniel and Terry T. McDaniel.Survivors include his wife, Claudia Kolzem McDaniel, Albany; daughters, Heather McDaniel Loosier and her fiancé Chester Averett, Albany, Amanda McDaniel Crystal and husband David Harold Crystal, Jr., Leesburg, Jessica McDaniel Austin and husband Matthew R. Austin Leesburg; sons, Charles James McDaniel and family of Moultrie, John Douglas Anderson, Jr. and wife Jessica Benson Anderson, Leesburg, grandchildren, Lauren McDaniel Zwemke and husband Zack of St. Louis, Marissa Schmeltzer, Jade Anderson, Michael Loosier, Layla Loosier, Alonna Crystal, Everett Paul Austin, brother, Andrew J. McDaniel and wife L'amiel, Cotton, sisters, Sue McDaniel VanMeter and husband Carl, Lester, Paula McDaniel Childers, Albany, mother in law, Charlotte "Lottie" Kolzem, Albany, sister in law, Patricia McDaniel, Lester; close friend James "Jimbo" Guanciale, Leesburg and his faithful friend Cowboy.The family will receive friends Tuesday 6 to 8 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.Those desiring please make memorials to Life Christian Center International, 1211 Stuart Ave, Albany, GA 31707.
