On May 11, 2025, Jesse James McFadden, age 21, of Centerville, PA, lost his valiant battle to cancer at home surrounded by his family.
Jesse is the son of Jack and Lacey McFadden and brother to JD McFadden. Jesse was a 2022 graduate of Maplewood Jr./Sr High School. Jesse loved everything football: playing in high school, achieving all-state recognition twice, playing fantasy football, and watching his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. His favorite trips included watching the Packers win their home opener at Lambeau Field - GO PACK GO! - and golfing in Hawaii.
Jesse was known for his intelligence, laid-back vibe, and witty one-liners punctuating his sense of humor. The way he battled cancer was an inspiration to all. When it returned after a period of remission, Jesse responded, "I want to enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts," and that's what he did.
In addition to his parents, and brother, Jesse is survived by grandparents, Jack and Debbie McFadden, and Daniel (Cris) Hamilton, aunts and uncles Jason "Jay" (Jennifer) Hamilton, Brett (Mandy) Hamilton, Carrie Chizuk, Jared Hamilton, Jason McFadden and Heather McFadden, several great aunts and uncles including Bill and Becky Euliano, several cousins including Nate (Marah) and Maddie (daughter Genni) Lee, Molly, Ian, Owen, and Grace Hamilton, Kyle (Emma and daughter Natalie) Nuhfer, and his cousin and best friend since birth, Jason Tyler McFadden; his good friends, Connor Palmiero, Bryan Kelly, and Rob Crawford.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judy Hamilton.
There will be no calling hours, and the burial will be private to the family.
