Jesse Mercer was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was born March 25, 1931 in Melbeta, Nebraska and moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1947, when he was 16 years old. He left us on October 9, 2025.

Jesse went to school through the 9th grade. He worked as a farmer, did concrete and cement work, and built numerous fireplaces and log splitters. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He made several campers out of school busses.

Jesse loved spending time with his family and extended family, of which there are many. He had 5 children, 3 of whom are still living. He is survived by his wonderful, loving wife, Dorothy Mercer; his three children, Catherine Illingworth, Sharon Inglefield, and Clarence Mercer; his many great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.

We will miss his stories, his smile, his laughter, and most of all, his love. Rest in peace, Jesse, Dad, Grandpa. You will never be forgotten.

A life Celebration will take place on October 21, 2025 at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado. 80634

I'm so glad that you are my Uncle. I was fortunate to get to know you. I am so proud of you. You were a wonderful husband to Aunt Dorothy. You have a wonderful family. You were so proud of your military service too. You served your Country honorably as a Marine at Camp Desert Rock. I love you and I'll never forget you. Rest in peace with Jesus.
