Jesse Dowless Robbins, 74, of Chesnee, South Carolina went home to be with the LORD on April 3rd, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was the husband and best friend of his loving wife, Sherry Lynn Cutcher Robbins and the son of the late Clifton Jesse Robbins and Mary Edmundson Robbins.
Jesse was born June 3, 1950, in Asheville, NC. He served in the United States Army working in the Military Police. After serving in the Army, Jesse worked as a diesel mechanic retiring from Ryder Trucking. Jesse faithfully attended the United Methodist Church. He was a true Southern Gentleman and was loved by all.
Jesse’s favorite hobby was hunting, and he accomplished one of his biggest hunting goals by getting the mighty 12-point buck. He also enjoyed going to the Gun Club for target and skeet shooting. Jesse also was a huge NASCAR fan and looked forward to every season. Jesse had a great love for his dogs, and they will miss him dearly.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons Ian Robbins, his wife Tamara of Huson, Montana and Stephen Robbins, his wife Sarah of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, one sister Judy Moore of Texas and three grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel with Pastor Thom Thornton.
