Jesse Curtis "J.C." Sisk age 76, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his residence in Cumberland, MS. J.C. was born on June 25, 1948, to James Curtis Sisk and Mildred Gertrude Hannah Sisk in Maben, MS. He was a member of the Maben United Methodist Church in Maben, MS and a retired electrician and mechanic. He was a man who worked tirelessly, often to his own detriment, never knowing how to rest because there was always something that had to be done and done his way. J.C. was a man known for his hard work, strong will, humor, and, most of all, his love for his family as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He lived his life in service to others, never knowing how to sit still and always finding something that needed doing. Mr. Sisk is survived by three daughters, Sherry Sisk Johnson, Cumberland, MS, Tabitha (James) Sisk Stewart and Rebecca (Clint) Sisk McCain, Maben, MS; one sister, Linda Sisk Williams, Cumberland, MS; one brother, Stanley (Ranae) Sisk, Cumberland, MS; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, James Bryan Sisk; both parents, James Curtis Sisk and Mildred Gertrude Hannah Sisk and one brother, James Larry Sisk. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of J.C. will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Webster County, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Providence Cemetery. The Sisk family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Sisk will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Bert Crowley, Justin Flora, John Hill, Dexter Jones, Ashton McClendon and Jeb Sisk. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Butler, Buddy Chadwick, Rickey Collins, Chester Crowley, Jimmy Farley, Robert Howell, Bomer Tabb and all Babcock & Wilcox Maintenance Crew. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the Sisk family.
