Mr. Jesse Thomas Trotter, 89, of Royston, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hartwell, GA.
Mr. Trotter was born in Elberton, GA on April 18, 1935, son of the late William and Rena Trotter. He was a law enforcement officer having worked for Franklin County and Hart County Sheriff's Departments, as well as the Cities of Royston and Canon Police Departments. Mr. Trotter was also a United States Air Force Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Lady Frances Bowen Trotter; and son, Michael Walter Trotter.
Survivors include his son, David Thomas Trotter (Shaunda) of Anderson, SC; sister, Betty Ketner of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Trotter, Michael Thomas Trotter, Nicholas Platias and Michael Joseph Trotter (Cassie); great-grandchildren, Braydon Garrett Trotter, Madison Ann Trotter, Tinleigh Grace Trotter, Mallee Jo Trotter, Aubrey Sweat, Zane Purcell and Kira Shurtleff.
A graveside service for Mr. Trotter will be held in the Franklin Memorial Gardens- South at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, with Rev. James Gunn officiating.
The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday morning. During other times the family will be at their respective homes.
