Doris Strickland Obituary
Mrs. Strickland was born in Ila, GA on October 18, 1945, daughter of the late James P. Bridges and the late Aletha Adams Bridges. She was a homemaker and member of Community Baptist Church in Danielsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leon Strickland; son, Steve Edward Strickland; brothers, Robert Lee Bridges and Clayton Bridges; and sisters, Dora Preston and Diane Smallwood.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Stuart Lee and LeAnn Strickland of Carlton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Diane and Harry Wilson of Athens, GA; brother, Clifford Bridges of Ila, GA; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mrs. Strickland will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Sean Thomas officiating. During other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
