Jessica Jan Denton

Jessica "Jan" Denton, age 76, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, in Clovis, NM, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and beautiful memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 02, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at Central Baptist Church, 2501 N Norris Street, Clovis, NM, with Pastor Ryan Denton officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, 1601 E Llano Estacado Blvd, Clovis, NM. Logan Denton, Jason Schilling, Trevor Schilling, Garrett Schilling, Spencer Schilling, and Boyd Coffey will serve as pallbearers.

Jan was born on December 20, 1949, to Floyd and Doris Culpepper, in Clovis, NM. On February 11, 1967, she married the love of her life, Travis Denton, in Clovis, NM. Jan worked as the office manager of W.T. Denton Mechanical for many years. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, friend and a devoted wife. She treasured her weekly lunch dates and shopping excursions with her dear friends. Jan had a servant's heart, and she made everyone feel cared for and loved. She was truly a people person, blessed with an incredible memory. She could recall life's moments down to the smallest details. Jan cherished time spent visiting with friends and family, often sharing stories and reminiscing about the many memories they created together. She also enjoyed gardening, Bible study, cooking, reading, and fishing. Jan relished spending time with her family, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved to support them and follow them to all of their activities.

Jan is survived by her husband of 58 years, Travis Denton; daughter-in-law, Donita Denton; daughter, Tami (Jason) Schilling of Lubbock, TX; two brothers-in-law, Jim (Shelley) Denton of Nambe, NM, Carl Woolfolk of Farmington, NM; two sisters-in-law, Shiela (Gary) Graf of Dolores, CO, Judy Williams of Dolores, CO; five grandchildren, Tabatha (Boyd) Coffey of Hobbs, NM, Logan (Brooke) Denton of Clovis, NM, Trevor (Mary) Schilling of Lubbock, TX, Garrett (Sydnee) Schilling of Lubbock, TX, Spencer Schilling of Lubbock, TX, four great-grandchildren, Norah Coffey, Lauren Coffey, Gary Wayne Denton, and Grayson Schilling.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Doris Culpepper; sister, Donita Woolfolk; and son, Gary Denton.
