Whitney & Murphy Funeral HomeJessica “Jess” Hernandez was born on November 10, 1990, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Cynthia Garcia and Ralph Hernandez. She worked as a dedicated Pharmacy Technician at HonorHealth, where she applied care and precision to her role. Her commitment to helping others through her profession reflected the compassion and diligence she brought to every aspect of her life. Jess was a devoted auntie. She adored her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spoiling them. Likewise, she was a loyal daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. She was deeply cherished for her vibrant spirit and heartfelt helpfulness.
Jess’s life was marked by her passion for sports and an unwavering enthusiasm for the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks. Known among her friends and family as Devin Booker’s “number one fan”, she never missed a chance to support her favorite teams. Her social life was equally active, often seen enjoying the company of her friends and family at various events and outings.
Jessica passed away tragically on November 22, 2025, in her hometown of Phoenix. She was 35 years old. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Cynthia Garcia; her father, Ralph Hernandez; her brother, Benny Vasquez; and her sisters, Misty Blackburn (Aaron) and Chrystal De La O (Omar); Jess also held a special place in the hearts of her nieces Alexiss and Olivia, and nephews Aaron, Micah, Sebastian, and Samuel (godson), and great niece Aspyn.
Additionally, she will be deeply missed by numerous cousins and friends. Jess’s joyful presence and infectious love for life will be missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Gloria Hernandez, Jesus and Tiodula Garcia, and her Tio Ralph Garcia.
Rosary will be held at 11:00 am with a Funeral Mass at 11:30 am on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008. Burial will follow at East Resthaven Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042. A reception will be held at St. Mary's High School from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm, 2525 N. 3rd St, Phoenix, AZ 85004.
