Jessica “Jes” R. Logan, 45, of Osceola, unexpectedly passed at her home on Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was born on March 8, 1980, in Mishawaka to James (Peggy) Logan and Anita (Rick Kraus) Jones.
Along with her parents, Jes is survived by her daughter, Amelie Matherly, sister, Andrea Milewski, stepsiblings, Heather Fischer, Shawn and Christina Rudasics, and grandmother, Jean Bojter, along with many, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by a brother, Jim Logan and nephew, Jorden Wigfall.
A natural caregiver, Jes served as an activities director at several nursing homes throughout the Michiana area, where her compassion and creativity touched countless lives. She had a deep love for animals and anything water-related, and her creative, free spirit showed in countless forms from her affection for daisies, wildflowers, and the color yellow, to the fact that she almost always managed to spill something on herself, a quirk that never failed to bring a smile. With a quick wit and infectious smile, Jes had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and at ease. Outside of all her passions, family was her pride and joy. Affectionately known as “Boo Boo,” she was cherished as the fun, adventurous aunt whose lighthearted nature brought laughter, warmth, and connection to every gathering, leaving behind memories that will be held close and treasured always.
A time to visit with family and friends is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Cruz Family Funeral Home, Osceola from 4- 6 pm, with a time to share stories and remember Jes beginning at 6pm. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services). To light a virtual candle, share a story of Jes’s life, and extend a message of comfort to her family, please visit the Guestbook.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
