Jessica Markley Obituary
Jessica Traci Markley, 37, passed away October 15, 2024. Born January 15, 1987, she spent most of her life in the Athens, Cleveland area.
Jesse is survived by Roy Markley, husband; a son Jacob Johnson; two daughters, Jada Walker and Gracie Fletcher; stepson Roy Markley, Jr. Also surviving are her brother, Jimmy Walker and sister, Amber Welles. One of Jesse's greatest joys was time shared with her granddaughters Lilyanna and Luna Walker. She also leaves nieces and nephews Abbigail and Zoey Dollmont and Coltyn Basler. She is predeceased by her mother, Tracey Lawson.
Jesse found great joy listening to all types of music, dancing and even writing music. Her impact will be remembered by many, that of being a tough, free-spirited rebel. While she struggled for many years, her soul is now at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. Her legacy of toughness and fortitude will always remain with all who loved and knew her.
A memorial service, to celebrate this life, is planned for Friday, October 25, 2024, at Companion Funeral Home in the Shelton Parlor at the Ridge Chapel. Visitation will be Noon - 2:00, with the service to follow.
The staff of Companion Funeral Home, and the Cody family, are honored to serve the Markley family.
