Jessica Katherine Smith, a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the age of 40. She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Jessica graduated from Bishop Sullivan High School in 2003. She earned her LPN from Our Lady of the Lake College. Jessica spent her time working as a behavioral health technician for children with autism. She enjoyed working and helping children with special needs. She grew up playing club and high school volleyball. She also volunteered with club volleyball. Her most treasured time was with her niece Emma and her sister Aubrey.
Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Brett Smith; grandfathers, Walter Joseph Mulflur and Mansel Timothy Smith; and her aunt, Katy Mulflur. She is survived by her mother, Patricia “Patty” Mulflur Graham and partner Matthew Hennessy; sisters, Aubrey Thompson and Payton Smith; brothers, Luke Graham and Payne Smith; nieces, Emma and Norah; nephew, Ayden; maternal grandmother, Janet Doolin Mulflur; paternal grandmother, Bobbie Bueche Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70817, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
