Jessie Marie Enstad, 98, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 at her daughter's home.
Jessie was born on February 16, 1927 in Paris, IL to the late George and Ellen (Davis) Barnett.
Jessie was employed with Muir Drugs, Plumbrook Country Club, Montgomery Ward and J.C. Penney's before retiring after many years of service. She was a member of Christ Community Church, Red Hat Society, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, J.C. Penney's and Berardi's coffee groups. In her spare time, she enjoyed browsing flea markets and garage sales, attending Sunday school and church. She also took great pride in living a long, full life; long enough to piss off the government.
Jessie is survived by her daughter, Susan (Scott) Johnson; many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and in-laws whom she treated as her own.
In addition to her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by husband, Richard E. Enstad in 2011; brother, Jack Barnett; 2 sisters, Grace Ellen Barnett and Alberta Bogardus; and a brother in infancy.
Friends may call on Friday, August 15th, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral service at 11 a.m. at Meadow Green Funeral Home, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, Ohio 44839 with Pastor Erin Porter officiating. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
