Jessie Otto, age 41, of Welch, died Sunday, January 15, at her home.
Jessie Joan Otto was born on Sept. 9, 1981, in Zumbrota, the daughter of Edwin and Donna (Clemens) Bignell. She grew up in Welch and graduated from Red Wing High School in 2000. Following high school, she received training as an LPN. She worked in that field and went back to school at SE Technical College where she earned her degree and became a Registered Nurse. Jessie worked at the Hospital in Cannon Falls for years, and most recently, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Red Wing.
On February 8, 2020, Jessie married Jedd Otto at Vasa Lutheran Church, where she was a life-long member. Jessie loved crafting, especially with her daughter, Bella. She also liked shopping with her daughter Hailey and could always find the perfect gift for anyone. Another passion was going to the races and cheering for her son Danny (#10) as he raced at the Elko Speedway. She also liked fishing and ice fishing. Jessie will be remembered for her big heart and treasured the time she had with all of her family.
Survivors include her husband Jedd, children Hailey Mann, Daniel "Danny" Mann, and Bella Otto; parents Edwin and Donna Bignell; sisters Mandy (Thomas) Urban and Malissa (Jason) Parrott-Stahnke; parents-in-law Daniel and AnnMarie Otto; sisters-in-law Katie (Brandon) Meyer, Kelly (Richard) Gustafson, and Elizabeth (Zach) Otto; brothers-in-law Joshua (Becky) Otto and Yogi Otto; and her cats, Reese and River. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Cathy Newman, brother-in-law Daniel Parrott, grandparents Ralph (Irene) Clemens, Harold (Ida) Otto, Nicholas (Catherine) Esch, and Sherman (Anabelle) Bignell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Vasa Lutheran Church, 15235 Norelius Rd, Welch, MN, 55089. There will be a visitation at the church from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, the day of the funeral. Interment will be in the Vasa Lutheran Cemetery.
