Funeral service for Jessie "Jake" Green Sturdivant, 82, will be Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Stone officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sturdivant passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1943, in Morgan County, to Jesse Columbus Green and Ruth Estelle Oakes Green.
She had a wonderful career as a program analyst in the Missile Defense Sector at Redstone Arsenal, where she received numerous awards. She worked with the Genealogical Society of Morgan County and was a member of Hamby's Chapel UMC. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, with all of her heart.
Preceding her in death were her son, Greg Roden, her parents, and siblings - Ellis Green, Russell Green, Agnes Weeks, Bonnie Holmes, Deliphene Miller, and Joan Osbolt, and a grandson, Josh Roden.
Survivors include
Husband of almost 30 years - Claude Lester Sturdivant, Jr.,
Son - Scott Roden (Sharon Cannon),
Grandchild - Amber Roden Dallinger (Helen Dallinger)
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
