Jessie Raye Wilson

Jessie Wilson, born on June 2, 1935, and passed away on January 21, 2026 lovingly known as "Nanny" by so many, was a woman full of life and love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched countless lives with her kindness and nurturing spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wilson, and her children, Stephen Wilson, Jacque Wilson, and Billy Wilson. Though she faced great loss, she continued to pour her love into those around her, helping raise many others, including her stepdaughter, Cherry Wilson, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To many, she was not just a grandmother, but a guiding and loving mother figure.

Jessie was known for her warm heart and her ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. She found joy in gardening, attending church, and reading. She especially loved cooking homemade meals and sharing them with her church, family, and friends-bringing people together through her generosity and care.

She worked many years as a truck driver and also dedicated time to her work at Eckerd's/CVS Pharmacy. Above all, Jessie loved Jesus Christ and carried her faith with her throughout her life.

Now, she has gone home to be with the Lord and reunited with her loved ones.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
