Mrs. Wright will lie in state for visitation on Friday, January 2, 2026, between the hours of 11:00 am. - 7:00 p.m., at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The celebration of life will commence on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 am, in the sanctuary of St. Matthew Baptist Church, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Our deepest condolences to the Wright family. My husband and Jessie Mae were in elementary through college schoolmates. She was my college roommate. What a kind heart Jessie Mae had. We will keep the family in our prayers.

I had the privilege of working with Mrs. Jesse at North Caddo Magnet High school. She taught my 3 children. She was also so sweet to send me Christmas cards every year. She will be missed! Praying for all the family.
