Jesus “Chuy” Quinones, Sr., 83, of Fremont, OH passed away on November 3, 2024 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH. He was born on February 16, 1941 in Benavides, TX the son of Luciano and Lilia (Rodriguez) Quinones. He married Lilia D. Davila on May 15, 1958 in Alice, TX and she preceded him in death on June 11, 2022.
Chuy was an inspector at Kelsey Hayes until he retired after thirty years. He had also worked at Tony’s Bakery. Chuy loved hunting and fishing and to taxidermy. He was a beekeeper, boxer, enjoyed gardening and making wine. He also loved his dog, Rocky.
Chuy is survived by his children, Jesse, Anna, Rosalinda, Eddie, Jose “Ricky” and Alma Quinones; grandchildren, Felicia Quinones, Jesse Quinones, Sophie Quinones, Mikey Botello, Mychell Clemmons, Casey Webb, Derick Quinones, Tiffany Hasselbach, Todd Hasselbach and Jace Quinones; siblings, Greg Quinones and Berta Travino and many great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lilia Quinones and sister, Rita Rivera.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials can be made in his honor to the family c/o Anna Quinones.
