Jesus Garcia, born in the Canary Islands, Spain, a devoted family man and retired maintenance technician from the University of North Florida, passed away peacefully in Jacksonville Beach on October 2, 2025.

A resident of Jacksonville Beach for over 20 years, Jesus cherished his home, always ensuring it was a welcoming place for family and friends. In his younger years, he traveled the world, exploring diverse cultures and landscapes that enriched his life. He had a passion for hands-on work, spending much of his career as a groundskeeper in the Jacksonville metro area, where he meticulously cared for various communities and took great pride in keeping them beautiful. Later, he briefly served as a maintenance technician at the University of North Florida before his well-earned retirement. In his leisure time, he found joy in fishing and cherished trips to Spain to reconnect with extended family. Above all, Jesus deeply loved his wife, Sonia Garcia with whom he shared countless adventures, creating treasured memories through their shared explorations and unwavering bond. In his final days, Sonia's loving devotion shone brightly as she cared for him tirelessly, remaining by his side and helping him find profound peace until the very end.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sonia Garcia; his daughter, Jessica Hardisson; his son, Jeffrey Garcia; and four adored grandchildren.

Jesus will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
