Mr. Jesus Barajas Orozco

Jesus "Chuy" Orozco passed away on November 25, 2017, in Long Beach, California, surrounded by his family and closest friends. His love for his kids, friends, family and the 49ers ran deep. He is survived by his wife, Ashley, his two children, Erik and Delylah, and his parents, Jesus and Florencia Orozco. Also surviving, his sisters, Olga, Maria, Clementina and Nancy with their husbands, including many nieces, nephews, a great niece, multiple great nephews, and God children. Chuy was born in Torrance, California, on May 22, 1977. In 2000 and 2005, he welcomed Delylah and Erik, who were the most important part of his life. On May 7, 2016, he married Ashley in a beautiful ceremony. Growing up, he played baseball throughout Long Beach, including for Long Beach Poly High School. He had great compassion for the game, and would never pass up an opportunity to watch the Angels play. He was proud of his work as a sushi chef, he cared deeply for his friends and family, including his late, little brother Tony, and he had so many great memories in the city he loved, and spent his entire life. A vigil will be held on Thursday, December 7th from 5 pm to 9 pm, in the Cathedral Chapel at Forest Lawn in Long Beach. 1500 East San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807.
