Jesus "Chuy" Salinas, a beloved member of the community, passed away on January 18, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1959, in Laredo, Texas to his mother Brijida Ayala. Jesus had a zest for life and his vibrant personality touched the hearts of everyone he met.

Jesus spent his formative years attending Martin High School. Jesus had many hobbies and interests which brought him immense pleasure throughout his life. He was an avid coin collector who took great pleasure in searching for unique pieces to add to his collection. Alongside this hobby, Jesus also enjoyed watching football games with great enthusiasm. He cheered passionately for his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys, and collected football and baseball cards as a testament to his love for sports.

Family was at the center of Jesus' world and he found immense joy in spending time with them. He leaves behind his loving wife Thelma Salinas, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together they created a beautiful family consisting of three children: Monica Salinas (Kevin), Jesus Salinas Jr. (Elizabeth), and Melinda Flores (Arturo). Jesus held immense pride in his role as a grandfather and adored spending time with his grandchildren: Kevin Zepeda Jr., Isaiah Flores, Nathaniel Flores, Amari Salinas, and Angelique Salinas.

Jesus was a cherished brother to his siblings and leaves behind two sisters and a brother, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Jesus was preceded in death by his mother Brijida Ayala (Mother) and three brothers.

Jesus "Chuy" Salinas will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His infectious laughter, captivating stories, and mischievous pranks brought joy to countless lives. May his soul find eternal peace, and may those who mourn find solace in the memories they shared with this remarkable individual.
