Obituary of Jesusita Najar
Najar, Jesusita "Jessica"
Saginaw, Michigan
Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 11, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was 74 years old. Jesusita Cerda was born on July 10, 1950 in Saginaw to the late Joe and Otilia (Cortez) Cerda. She married Xavier Najar on July 26, 1974 in Saginaw and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2000. She loved a fun trip to the Casino, playing cards, shopping at a good garage sale, collecting Precious Moments and Coke figurines. Jessica's greatest joy came from being with her family.
Jesusita is survived by her children: Raymond Cerda, Mark (Rebecca) Najar and Xavier Najar Jr.; grandchildren: Christina M. (Isiah Paige) Najar, Michael Seeley, Maricella Najar and Mark Najar; sisters: Teresa (John) Hanskett, Maria (Dennis) Camero and Mary Ann (Tony) Ragan; brothers: Roy Cerda, Joe (Lucy) Cerda Jr. and Dave (Eileen) Cerda; her partner, Frederick Enderby; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Jesusita was preceded in death by her husband, Xavier Najar; daughter, Michelle M. Najar; siblings: Robert Cerda, Beatrice Saucedo and Olga Stratz.
SERVICE: In keeping with Jesusita's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Jesusita's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Sheridan Road Baptist Church, 6911 Sheridan Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Host will officiate.
Family and friends will gather at the church on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Najar family, C/O of Mark Najar.
