Jesusita Guedea "Susie" Perez, 90, longtime resident of Sweetwater, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in Mitchell County Nursing & Rehab in Colorado City, TX. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 31, 2026 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Deacon David Mendez officiating . Interment will follow in Sweetwater Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home. No formal visitation is set at this time. She was born October 15, 1935 in Sonora, Texas to Jacinto and Aurora (Gonzales) Guedea. She married Desidoro Perez and he passed away April 10, 1970. She lived in Sweetwater over 70 years raising her four children. She was always helping the children in their daily lives. Susie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, David Perez of Sweetwater, TX, three daughters, Josie Perez of Abilene, TX, Irma Gonzales and husband Reynaldo of Colorado City, TX, Salley Mireles and husband Valentine of Hamlin, TX, a brother, Jacinto Guedea, Jr. of Sweetwater, TX, two sisters, Guadalupe Diaz of Sweetwater, TX, Lydia Palacios of Sweetwater, TX, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Petro Guedea, 3 sisters, Maria Acuna and husband Manuel, Amelia Guedea, and Angelita Guedea. Pallbearers will be, Frank Perez, Raymond Gonzales, Pete Gonzales, Sam Guedea, Eric Guedea, Nick Perez. Online condolences may be expressed at [email protected].
