Jett McClain Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home on Jan. 8, 2026.
Our brave boy Jett Lawson McClain, age 5, left us too soon on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, after a long, courageous battle with Hepatoblastoma (Liver Cancer). Born October 14th, 2020, in Fort Benning, Georgia, Jett is the son of Christopher and Dominique McClain and the younger brother of Kinsley McClain.
Jett brought immense joy with a smile that lit up a room and the most contagious laugh. He most enjoys playing with toy guns, video games on his Xbox, dressing up in his Army outfit to be like his daddy, watching Chip and Milo on YouTube, and being goofy with his big sister, Kinsley.
He is survived by not only his parents, older sister and his Make-A-Wish golden retriever puppy, Roger, whom he loves greatly, but a large, loving extended family, including his grandparents (Bryan & Michelle McClain, Tina & Paul Dixon), maternal great-grandmother (Sue Catterton), aunts and uncles (Jazmyne & Tyler Forshey, Brett McClain, Len McClain), great-aunts and uncles (Tracy Lawson & Cristian Pallares) and many more.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-great-grandmother (Annie Lawson), maternal great-grandfather (Harlen "Gene" Hose), paternal great-grandfather (David McClain Sr.), paternal great-uncle (David McClain Jr.), paternal grandmother (Tracy Lynn McClain/Dorsey)
A celebration of life will be held at Living Hope Church (1109 State Route 100, Florahome, Florida 32140) on Friday, January 16th, at 11:30 am.
Flowers can be sent to Living Hope Church, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jett's honor to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. The service will be live-streamed on Living Hope Church Florahome YouTube channel.
