Jewell Dean Ezell, 86, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in Mountain Home, Idaho, on March 7th 2026, surrounded by family.
Dean, as he was known, was born March 27th, 1939, in Arkadelphia to Junius Ezell and Maureen Smith Ezell. Dean is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 65 years, Willie Jewell West Ezell. His son, Gary Ezell Sr., and his wife, Sherry. Grandchildren, Gary Ezell Jr (Brittany), Jonathan Ezell (Sarah), Meagan Sims (Michael), Tristan (Tabitha), Wise (Ellie); and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Junius and Maureen; brother, James Thomas; sister, Eugenia (Jeannie) Bess Stewart; and his daughter, Deana Ezell. Survived by sisters, Fannie Clark (Jerry) of Sheridan, Marilyn Brooks (Bill) of Camden, Judy Jones of Arkadelphia; sister-in-law, Doris Ezell of White Oak; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dean retired in 1996 from Arkla/Noram Gas Company after 30+ years of service. He was very proud of his years of service and opportunities with the Gas Company. He loved all his family and took every opportunity to either talk to or visit as often as possible.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21st at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia.
Dean lived a life of contentment and joy, never met a stranger, always had something unique to say and never lost his sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
