Sarah (Overton) Compton, age 59, of Benton passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 at her home. She was born November 26, 1966 in Gurdon, to the late Floyd “Jackie” and Laura Lee Overton. Sarah loved receiving t-shirts as souvenirs from the places that her children visited and stationed during their military service. She absolutely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Sarah’s grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She also enjoyed watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and watching her children play sports. She was their biggest fan. Sarah was extremely proud of her children because they all serve in the military. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her children Shanley Brasher (Blake) of Fort Benning, Georgia, Sarah Bahl (Joshua) of Virgina Beach, Virginia, and Collin Compton of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Evelyn and Jason Brasher, Lukas, Emerson, and Easton Bahl; brother, Jeff Overton (Leslie) of Bryant, Arkansas; niece, Allison Overton of Fayetteville; and nephew, Zack Overton of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Matt Duran officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Okolona. Pallbearers are Joshua Bahl, Collin Compton, Doyle Otwell, Zack Overton, Jeff Overton, and Brett Kuhn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital and/or Smyrna Cemetery.
