Jill Carpenter Obituary
Belton
Jill March Carpenter, 78, widow of the late Gerald Carpenter, died Friday August 29,2025 at Rainey Hospice House.
She was born in North Yorkshire in the UK; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Millicent Whitmore March. She was a member of Belton Presbyterian Church and was a founding member of the Belton Beautification Committee. She was dedicated to beautifying the world one plant at a time.
Family is family and friends are family too, which leaves too many to list on too many continents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to any local charity or animal charity of your choice.

Jill was one of the coolest ladies I've ever met, and I knew her through my wife. I remember the last time I spoke with her; she told me about how much of a "lovely" life she had. "Lovely" was one of her favorite words. I always enjoyed her English accent and perspective. I hope that I am half the plant person she was one day. She will be missed but, we have hope to see her again.

Jill was a much loved friend since the early 80s in London UK when she and Jerry Carpenter lived there. 0ur friendship continued long distance when they moved to the USA. I will always treasure her as a very much loved friend, So full of fun, kindness and energy and a brilliant plants woman ..... RIP Sweet Soul from Worthy of Worthing
