Jenkins, Jill, age 64, of Waynesville, passed away on Wednesday, Aug 13, 2025. Jill grew up and received her education in Richwood, Ohio, graduating from North Union High School in the class of 1979. She worked as a mortgage and loan officer at National City Mortgage for many years and then took time off to raise her beautiful daughters, Kara and Ashley. In later years, she worked as a bank teller in several local offices, most recently at People's Bank in Waynesville, where she earned the President's Club award several times for her outstanding work. Loving and impassioned, she was always focused but sometimes a bit headstrong. Jill had a knack for cooking and considered herself a "foodie," watching every TV cooking show she could find. She would try new recipes and add her own touch to them. From pots of chili to great mac & cheese and biscuits & gravy, her food was always full of flavor. She prepared delicious holiday dinners and appetizers for events, especially meatballs in grape jelly, as well as cheese and crackers. Jill loved to go out with her family and eat great food, from Graeter's ice cream to spinach artichoke dip and Reubens. She planned elaborate birthday and graduation parties for her girls. Cooking their favorite dishes, making handmade picture collage posters, and sharing a special birthday kiss. She was at her happiest spending time with her daughters and hosting their friends throughout their school years. Jill took great pride in attending every sporting event her daughters were involved in, cheering from the stands and always supporting them behind the scenes. She would ensure that every day her daughters had a special handwritten note in their lunch boxes along with their favorite sweet treat. Among the many things she will be remembered for is the love and pride she had for her daughters, and making sure they always made wonderful and fun memories. Jill never stopped replaying music from her favorite bands, including Danger Brothers, Big Time Rush, and Collective Soul. She loved to dance in the living room and urged everyone to join. She never missed a Sauerkraut Festival or a Greek Festival, and she never met a cabbage roll she didn't like. She had a soft spot for animals as she adored her dog and cats. Family vacations to San Diego were always the highlight of every summer, marked by months of anticipation and planning each year. While Jill's bright light got dimmed over the last couple of years, the memories glow, and now Jill does again, too. Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Betty Reidenbaugh, and her best friend Karen Neel. She is survived by her ex-husband, Don Jenkins, despite her best efforts to outlive him. Most importantly, Jill was survived by her two daughters, Kara Jenkins and Ashley Jenkins; brother, Dan (Peg) Reidenbaugh; and two sisters, Judy Wynn and Penny San Nicolas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, at Marion Cemetery in Marion, Ohio. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, October 19, in Waynesville; location and time will be announced soon. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
