Jill McNeil Keasel

Jill McNeil Keasel, 87, of New Smyrna Beach FL peacefully passed on February 10, 2026 at Lexington Place in FL.

Born October 24, 1938 in Passaic NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Donald McNeil Sr and Anne Breeman McNeil Meyer. She grew up in Clifton with her brother Don and sister Lynell.

She was the wife of Stanley Keasel Jr celebrating 47 years of marriage before Stanley's death in November 2008.

She was the devoted mother to Lori, Eric, and John (pre-deceased in 1994).

Jill grew up in Clifton, NJ and was active in the Rainbow Girls, Camp of the Woods in Speculator, NY, and the high school band. She graduated from Clifton High School in 1956. She attended Hope College in MI and graduated from Bloomfield College in NJ with a degree in Sociology in 1960. She and Stanley met at Bloomfield College and married in January 1961, honeymooned in Washington DC, and lived in NJ. Lori was born in 1964. The three moved to Baltimore MD in 1966. Eric was born in 1967 and John in 1969. The family spent a short time outside of San Francisco when Stanley exchanged jobs with a fellow Social Security Admin employee. When they returned to Baltimore, they resumed their time with Bethany UCC where Jill was the organist and choir director. She worked as a teacher's aide at Johnnycake Jr High School and Woodlawn Sr High School. Jill and Stanley moved to Eldersburg, MD where Jill was the organist at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. Jill and Stanley retired in 2000 and continued their travels around the world, volunteering in the community, and enjoying their Baltimore Orioles. Jill moved to Falls Church, VA to be closer to Lori and Eric in 2009. She moved to FL in 2023 to be closer to Eric and Marianne.

Survived by her daughter Lori Keasel of Fishkill NY and son Eric and Marianne (Pandozzi) Keasel of New Smyrna Beach FL; granddaughters, Maria and Angelina LoPresti; in-laws Ray and Linda Mughmaw, Eileen Dalton McNeil, Don Keasel, Lynnell Keasel Busse; nieces Kathy Busse Bickerdyke (Cris) and Sharon Parker Meyers; nephews Bobby Busse (Laura) and Scott Keasel (Jill); and many beloved grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends, including her oldest and dearest friend Doris Mossige.

She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley Keasel Jr (2008) and son John Keasel (1994).

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Scotchtown Cemetery in Middletown. NY. A celebration of life immediately following will be held to reflect and celebrate a life well lived.
