Jill M. (Blair) King, age 47, passed away at home on April 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jill was born on January 28, 1978, in Kewanee, Illinois to Terri (Ciesielski) Reese and Robert Blair.
Jill's life was marked by her unwavering strength, kindness, and dedication to her work, family and friends.
Jill graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School in 1996, where she formed lifelong friendships. She worked as a quality control manager at Oldcastle Lawn and Garden and loved traveling the country to visit their various locations.
Jill is survived by her parents, Terri Reese of Peru and Robert Blair of DePue, her children, Alyssa King of LaSalle, Anthony King of Streator and Amelia King of Marseilles, her siblings, Matt Reese of Peoria and Amanda (Ryley) Lyons of Marion, IA, nephew Jaxen Lyons, niece Raegan Lyons, maternal grandfather, Tom (Shirley) Ciesielski and her closest friends, Kathryn Wilhelm and Melissa Hillard-Kasza. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, William Reese, maternal grandmother Jean Ciesielski and paternal grandparents Sheron Tucker and Robert Blair Sr. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and countless friends.
Jill's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals who provided exceptional care and support during her illness.
Visitation will be Saturday April 26, 2025 at the Ptak Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until a 12:00 PM memorial service, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Jill's life and share memories of the joy she brought to all. Burial will be at St. Valentine Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be designated to her favorite charities.
