Jill M. Young, 75, of Jonestown, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her home. She was the wife of John R. Young. They had just celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on July 29th. Born in Jonestown on August 1, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Dorothy A. (Mohn) Kent. She graduated from Northern Lebanon High School with the Class of 1967. She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jonestown. Jill worked as a home health aide for Good Samaritan Hospital; she and her husband John would put on singing shows for the older adults in the homes, which would raise money to help send students to Bible College. Her passion was taking care of older people and spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Dylynn L. husband of Amaris Kent of Myerstown and Melissa L. wife of Jason Brown of Fredericksburg; grandchildren: Jordon, Sr. Miranda, Xavier, Jasper, Dakota, Leo and Paxton; great grandchildren: Jordon, Jr. and Avery; brothers: Fred, Gary and Randy Kent; and her sister Roberta Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her sister Linette Loose. Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family.
