I remember Jim as being so helpful. He would lend anyone a hand whenever it was needed. He could fix anything! He did amazing renovations to the Purlingbrook home, and built mother-in-law quarters for Sylvia. He used to come over to help me pull-start an old (really old) tractor so I could mow my lawn when I lived alone. I remember how he drove over the day Courtney was born, bearing a bubble gum cigar! He was so proud. I have fond memories of snowmobiling in the UP, boating in the summers,, and seeing the Detroit Fireworks on Belle Isle. I remember the family picking me up to go to services at Nardin Park when I was looking for a church. Jim had the best laugh. Jim loved to dance; He and Kandi could have won a dance marathon!
