Jimmy was born January 22, 1949, in Dothan, Al. , son of the late Henry E. Golden and Gladys Golden. He was a U. S. Navy veteran who proudly served our country as a jet engine mechanic and enjoyed playing in the Navy baseball league. After the Navy, he joined the workforce and was as a sensational salesman for many years. He then pursued his dream/passion of owning his own Bar and Grill. Over the years he opened a number of establishments where he met numerous people whom he considered friends and some he even considered/treated like family. Jimmy was an avid die-hard Alabama (ROLL TIDE ROLL) football fan. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, shooting pool and watching Alabama football. We will remember him as a people person first and foremost. Jimmy never seemed to meet a stranger. He loved his wife and best friend Rita of 47 years and his family who he would do whatever he could for them. He will be missed very much and will always be in our hearts and memories.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Henry E. Golden and Gladys Golden, three sisters Peggy Hall, Linda Jarrett, Betty Morris and grandson Jason Alexander Sumner.
