Jim Sullivan

Jim Sullivan, age 72, passed away on March 3, 2026. He was born on December 2, 1953, in Oklahoma City to Bud and Francis (Colebank) Sullivan. He later graduated from Capitol Hill High School.

After high school, he started his own roofing and construction business. He did this for many years before transitioning to insurance claims as a catastrophic claims adjuster. He did this 18 years before retiring.

In the early 70s, after being introduced by a mutual acquaintance, Jim met Barbara Farris. The two fell in love and in 1973, they were married. They enjoyed 52 wonderful years together.

Jim was a man who enjoyed hunting and fishing, particularly with his grandson. He loved his family deeply and supported them in everything they did. Rodeo was a major part of his life. He roped calves and team roped until his health prevented him from doing so. His lifelong love of horses, cattle, and the western way of life was evident to all who knew him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bud Sullivan Jr (BW).

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter Kerri; grandson Tuff; sister Peggy Berridge; and other friends and extended family.

Public visitation will be held from 2-8pm on Thursday, March 5th, at McNeil's Funeral Service.

A graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday, March 6th, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, OK.
