Leetonia - Jim H Whinnery, age 74, of Leetonia, died on Friday, October 17, 2025, at his home in Leetonia.
He was born on November 26, 1950, in Salem, son of the late Howard and Elizabeth Smith Whinnery.
Jim enjoyed golfing with his friends, going to the casino and attending auctions. He loved his family and looked forward to attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
His wife, Debra J. Glass Whinnery, whom he married on September 27, 1975, preceded him in death on, December 27, 2020.
Jim is survived by his two daughters, Sarah (Morgan) Todd of Cincinnati and Megan (Jack) Becka of Diamond; two grandchildren, Addison and Peyton; a sister, Judith (Richard) Royce and a brother, Jon (Susan) Whinnery.
Per Jim’s wishes, no services will be held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
