James "Jim" Williams, 70, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on February 22, 2026. He was born on March 30, 1955 in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Delores "Dee" Williams. Jim was a Plainfield High School 1973 graduate. He was the co-owner of Williams Brothers T.V. & Appliance and the Economy Self Storage. Jim enjoyed wood carving, playing pool, poker and having camp fires in his free time. He liked going to Gray's Brothers Cafeteria and vacationing in Tennessee. Jim loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Williams. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 12:00 pm (noon) in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 10:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington. Survivors include his son, Jeff (Megan) Williams; daughters, Jennifer (Bill) Gerber and Michelle (Jason) Likens; sister, Debbie (Arnie) Gath; brother, Rob (Kathy) Williams; grandchildren, Dalton, William, Austin, Jaelyn, Joe, Sadie, Ali and Faith; great grandchildren, Sofia and Annalleyah.
