Obituary For Jimmie Richard Baker
MR. JIMMIE RICHARD BAKER – Age 82, of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his residence with his family at his bedside. He was born on February 10, 1942 to the late Henry Lee Baker and Addie Lee Mann Baker. Jimmie was retired from the New York City Police Department and was a State of Georgia Probation Officer. He was a member of the Baptist Faith and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army. He was a graduate of the New York University. Mr. Baker was preceded by his parents, sisters, Margaret Cheryl Rivers, Mary Katrina McDade, and brother, Theophilis Baker.
Precious loving memories will remain in the hearts and minds of his devoted wife, Deanna Marie Shavers Baker of Tunnel Hill, Georgia. They were married on June 24, 1988; daughter, Ashlee Partlow of Alexandria, Virginia; son, Michael Baker; brothers, Harry Lane Baker of Bronx, New York, Perry (Vicky) Baker of Clinton, Maryland, and Ervin (Shirley) Baker of Jonesboro, Georgia; mother-in-law, Sandra Milton of Dalton; aunt, Francis Mann of New York; sisters-in-law, Linda Baker of Alabama, Pamela (James, Jr.) Cooper, Jacqueline Willis; brothers-in-law, John Lee (Kristi) Shavers, of Dalton and Rodney Dillard; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside Service to be conducted by the American Legion Post 112 at West Hill Cemetery on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 A. M. A Memorial Service will follow at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 901 W. Emery St, Dalton, GA 30720, in Parish Hall. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA. Send flowers to the service of Jimmie Richard Baker
