Jimmie Dale Garner, 76, of Danville passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Born July 8, 1949, he was the son of the late Edgar and Lessie Williams Garner.

Jim worked as a barber at Jim Garner Hairstyling in Danville for over 50 years. He enjoyed telling jokes to his clients, working on cars, and spending time with his "Thursday lunch group". Jim was a member of the National Hot Rod Association.

He is survived by his son, Kelly (Michelle) Garner of Danville; daughters, Amy (Roy) Miller of Junction City and Leslie (Scotty) McFarlan of Lexington; sister, Johnnie Sharp of TX; 7 grandchildren: Amber (Larry) Westerfield, Micah (Shelby) Gammon, Tyler Gammon, Elijah Garner, Jace Garner, Zoey McFarlan, and Darbi Dinsmore; and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation is 4-7 pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm with Roy Miller officiating. Pallbearers are Tyler Gammon, Elijah Garner, Jace Garner, Micah Gammon, and Kelly Garner. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Nesbitt, Jimmy Taylor, Mike Taylor, Jim Bob Taylor, David Irvin, Scotty Ferguson, Chris Taylor, Buck Cooper, Mark Herrick, Randy Moser, David Sanders, Dr. Larry Scott, Dr. Elmer Jackson, and Dr. Marshall Wilt. Private burial will be at Cedar Point Cemetery in Nancy, KY.
