Henry Wayne Lister, 74, of Junction City passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Born in Junction City on January 31, 1951, he was the son of the late Arthur Earl Lister and the late Margaret Faye Tharp Purvis.

Wayne was a member of Maxey Valley First Church of God. He worked for over 10 years for Bluegrass Community Action, driving a bus. He had also previously worked in multiple states as a salesman with Metal Roofing. Wayne was an avid skeet shooter, deer hunter, and outdoorsman. He enjoyed mowing grass, taking care of the yard, cleaning his car, and keeping busy working. Wayne played the mandolin and loved singing Bluegrass Gospel Music. He also liked being around friends and family.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Nutgrass Lister of Junction City; son, Barkley (Penny) Lister of Danville; daughter, Glenda (Jake) Yadon of Junction City; sisters: Wanda (Roger) Parsons of Danville and Jeanie (Jim) Belcher of Northern Kentucky; grandchildren: Courtney Lister, Kasey Lister, Jacob McCowan, Raylee Yadon, and Jancyn Yadon.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, JT Lister, Junior Lister, and Delbert Lister; and a sister, Roberta Zeller.

Visitation is 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 21, 2025, at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jake Yadon officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Barkley Lister, Nick Harwood, Barry Garner, Rick Gonzales, Ben Alderdice, and Curtis Cash. Honorary Pallbearers are Pulaski Outdoorsman and Kentucky Skeet Shooting Association, Maxey Valley First Church of God, David Ballard, Emma Moreno, Kevin Simpkins, and Bobby York.
