Rosewood Heights:

Jimmie Alvis Little, 84, passed away at 11:37am on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his daughter’s house in Brighton. He was born August 14, 1941, in Portageville, Missouri, the son of the late Alvis and Addie (Toombs) Little. Survivors include a daughter: Diana Tinnon of Brighton, a son: Ron Little of Fenton, Missouri, two grandchildren: Regina and Darren Romano, Ronald Little, Jr., three great grandchildren: Theodore, Darren Jr., Gabriel, two sisters, and many other extended family and friends.

Jimmie was employed as a mechanic at McDonald Douglas and later worked for thirty years as a machinist at Laclede Steel. He loved playing music and dancing. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son in law: Timmy Tinnon, a grandson: Robert Herrin III, and a brother: John Little.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 9am until time of funeral services at 10:30am on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Art Hooper will officiate. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis with full military honors.

Memorials are suggested to Faith Christian Fellowship Church in South Roxana and will be accepted at the funeral home.
