For several years, Jim worked for E & E Auto Sales in Ozark.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22nd at Nelms-Shott Cemetery near Waveland, Arkansas, with Bradley Nelms officiating. Services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy (Davis) Nelms; a daughter, Michelle of Oregon; five sons, Jamie Horton and Melissa of Charleston, Tony Horton and Shawndrea of Fort Smith, Jimmy Nelms and Jean of Charleston, Chris Nelms and Ashley of Ozark, and Bradley Nelms and Stephanie of Charleston; a sister, Verna Allen of Kansas City; three brothers, Wendall Nelms of Ola, Loyal Nelms of Kansas City, and David Nelms of Jasper; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many extended friends and family.
