Jimmie Mae Short Ware
September 28, 1936-April 11, 2025
Jimmie Mae Short Ware went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2025, at 88 years of age. She was born to J.W. and Velma Short on September 28, 1936, in Frost, TX. Jimmie was married to Jimmy Frank Ware on September 6, 1957. Jim and Jimmie celebrated almost 68 years together in a loving and Godly relationship, residing in Burleson, TX, for the past 38 years. Better known as Gigi to family and close friends, words cannot express what a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother she was! Gigi will be missed and remembered with loving hearts. She loved us "too much to know!"
She is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Julie Ross (Gary), daughter Pamela Graham (James), granddaughters Jennifer Ross and Amy Ross, granddaughter Emily Graham Calk (Kory), grandson Caleb Graham (Heather), and great-grandson Fletcher Jameson Calk.
Our family extends a special thank you to dear friends Lil Gantz and Virginia Summers and to the staff at Heritage Place Assisted Living for their competent and compassionate care of Jimmie during her recent stay there. We deeply appreciate the many expressions of love from precious friends and neighbors, as well. Your thoughtfulness towards our family during this difficult time has not gone unnoticed, and we are eternally grateful for your kindness.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 24, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Burleson. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Promises Community Ministries, a part of First Baptist Church, Burleson.
