Mr. Jimmie P. Wilkerson

Mr. Jimmie P. Wilkerson age 73 of the Popes Hill Community near Carthage, passed away August 16, 2025, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. Born in Carthage, TN, October 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Otis Wilkerson and Ruby Lawson Wilkerson. He was a logger and sawmill worker most of his life. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Wilkerson; God daughter, Miranda Duke; brother-in-law, David Roberts; sister-in-law, Retta Wilkerson.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Jewell Roberts Wilkerson; brother, Danny Wilkerson; nephews and nieces: Brad, McKenzie, Braden, Wesley, and Brittany Roberts; God children: Jordan, Carl and Amanda Duke, Alliyah, Briar, Emmie, and Destiny Dedmon, Brittany Jenkins and Cheyenne Edwards; sisters-in-law: Deana and Kathy Roberts, and Lois Sloan; brother-in-law, Billy Roberts.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon with Bro. Richard Smith and Donnie Slagle officiating. Interment – Bethlehem Cemetery in Tuckers Cross Roads. Pallbearers: Jordan Duke, Carl Duke, Mike Wilkerson, Kenny Wilkerson, Colby Dedmon, Gerald Kelly. Visitation Wednesday 3-7 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. – 11.am.
