Mr. Jimmy Lee Calloway

Mr. Jimmy Lee Calloway was born December 2, 1946 to the union of Jimmy and Clay Alice Calloway in Griffin, Ga. Jimmy received his formal education from the Fairmont High School in Griffin, Ga.

Jimmy Accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a Member of the Corinth Baptist Church, Serving under the Rev. John H. Adams. He was employed at Thomaston Mills and 1888 Mills as a machine Operator and Forklift Driver.
In his leisure time, he loved fishing and staying around the house, sitting around the fire barrel, enjoying time with family and friends. He was a Faithful Member of the Silver Tone Echoes, Gospel Singers of Griffin, Ga.

He leaves behind to cherish his Memories: His Children; Adreine (Zachary) Ellis, Michelle (GW) Relthford, Calvert (Barbara) Johnson, Derek Lewis, Travis (Cristy) Calloway, Patrice Lewis and Jarvis (Kauchia) Lewis. His Siblings; Eddie Calloway, John (Lizzie) Calloway, Earnestine Cain, Barbara (Darnel) Driver, Melanie (Richard) Jennings, Randy (Felecia) Calloway, Barry (Renee) Calloway, Michelle Yarbrough and Charles Yarbrough. He was blessed with 20 Grandchildren; Asha, Nakia, Bernard, Brittney, Javis, Mark, Christini, D'Atrique, Tenechia, Amy-Aundrea, Dequaveon, Narashae, Ty'Zavious, Zy, DJ, Jarvis Jr, Travontae, Zion, Janayla and Cornelius. Also blessed with 21 Great Grandchildren.

He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that he loved immensely and they will miss him dearly. Dearest Friends; Deacon Eugene Williams, Jimmy Lee Tuggle, James Halloway, Robert Tanner and Darrell Alexander.

On Friday, March 13, 2026, Jimmy Lee Calloway's name was called, and he answered the call. Therefore , he no longer has to deal with the troubles of this world.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his Father, Deacon Jimmy Calloway, His Mother Mrs. Clay Alice Calloway, Brothers: Roy Calloway, Phillip Williams and Ray Calloway. Sister; Sara Calloway, Son; Cornelius Calloway and a Grandson; Avery Henley.
